Making a cake….please help!?
Ok. I am making a Checker Board Cake. I have made it twice today and it wont come out right and I am getting really frustrated.
Problem #1 - I poured the two different batters into the different sections in the pan like im supposed to.but when I put it in the oven to bake the different batters seperate from eachother so, there are gaps in the cake. What do I do?
Problem #2 - When I try to stack the three layers on top of eachother, they start to break into pieces. How do I prevent that.
Also, to make the cake not stick to the pan, should I use wax paper or foil? (I dont have any Pam)
Use foil so it won’t get sticky. And to make it stick together you want a stiffer filling that will give your cake more stability. You can fill it with gnache, a rich chocolate filling that stays creamy but will glue your layers together amazingly. Or icing
