Layer Cake
Layer Cake (2004)

IMDB rating: 7.40

Plot: A successful cocaine dealer, who has earned a respected place among England’s Mafia elite, plans an early retirement from the business. Complicating matters are two million pounds’ worth of Grade A ecstasy, a brutal neo-Nazi sect and a whole series of double crossings. Not knowing who he can trust, he has to use all his ’savvy’, ‘telling’ and skills which make him one of the best, to escape his own. Making a cake….please help!?
Ok. I am making a Checker Board Cake. I have made it twice today and it wont come out right and I am getting really frustrated.

Problem #1 - I poured the two different batters into the different sections in the pan like im supposed to.but when I put it in the oven to bake the different batters seperate from eachother so, there are gaps in the cake. What do I do?

Problem #2 - When I try to stack the three layers on top of eachother, they start to break into pieces. How do I prevent that.

Also, to make the cake not stick to the pan, should I use wax paper or foil? (I dont have any Pam)

Use foil so it won’t get sticky. And to make it stick together you want a stiffer filling that will give your cake more stability. You can fill it with gnache, a rich chocolate filling that stays creamy but will glue your layers together amazingly. Or icing

Did you ever have a person who represented goodness to you?
She was light and joy
but not some pollyanna
a nice counterpoint
to my scathing silliness
I am hurt that she scorns me
and I don’t care who sees me cry.

It won’t affect my paycheck
It won’t make the rains fall harder
It doesn’t mean I am a bad person
It just means humanity
is a little more human tonight.
God is good; mothers are just who they are.
Iano, I have never claimed to be any good, and i accept all criticism.

How you doing?

I think Who, Me? is right.
This poem was a kind gesture.

You’ve got mail.

Mothers are just who they are. Goodness? Yes. I loved mine, but sometimes it was… complicated.

Actually, there was an old fellow
A poor sweeper
who lived in a house with no roof
but every day
for two years
he’d invite me to lunch
share a plate of rice
and three glasses of tea
And we’d sit through the heat of the day
with nothing to say
I wish I was as good a friend to him
as he was to me.

I find myself being touched by this pen. You are supposed to be a heartless brute without feelings and certainly this verse says otherwise. Nice

I don’t know much about how poetry is "suppose" to be, or how to write it according to all the "poetry rules", but when I read a poem that moves me, I like to stop by and say, thanks for sharing…this is one of those poems.

Mothers have feelings, too.
Sometimes they take and take slams
until they can take no more.

Everyone has a breaking point, perhaps you found hers.

I am blessed with many. My sister is one of the sweetest, purest souls I have ever had the honor of knowing.

Edit: I’m behind lately. Ma is beyond definition. A shining light even when it’s dark.

IMDB rating: 5.80

Plot: After having her father and perverse stepmother killed by the cenobites, Kirsty Cotton (Ashley Lawrence) is sent to a psychiatric hospital. Even after trying to convince the authorities of what really happened with her family, nobody believes in her version of the history and they decide to place her in the institute, so that she rests and relaxes a little bit. The hospital is commanded by a brilliant and strange psychiatrist, Dr. Channard (Kenneth Cranham), who has been looking for the key for another dimension for a long time. The only person who believes in Kirsty is a young and kind assistant of Dr. Channard, called Kyle MacRae (William Hope). Following Kirsty’s version of the story, Channard put his hands on the bloodstained mattress where her stepmother Julia (Clare Higgins, from the first Hellraiser) died, Channard decides to resurrect her, killing his patients and offering them as food for Julia. She returns without skin, and she decides to help Channard to bring the forces of the evil, but the plans of the two will be disturbed by Kirsty, who wants to end at once with the cenobites, and for Kyle, who doesn’t want to see Kirsty being hurt…

Am I missing something from my copies of Hellraiser 2?
Well I just read the script of Hellraiser 2 at this place :
http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/Hellbound-H ellraiser-II.html

And I’ve saw things there that don’t seem to be in the copies I have. I have an original video copy at my mum’s house, and on my computer I have a copy that has extra scenes in it. But, in both copies I have, there are allot of things in the script that I haven’t saw. For starters, it says Channard (known as Malahide in the script) says the line about Kirsty not lying. But in my copies, Kyle says it.

Also, from "19 EXT. CARNIVAL NIGHT" up to "23 INT. HOSPITAL CORRIDOR NIGHT", there’s some scene about Tiffany in a hall of mirrors escaping from some Interns. This isn’t in my copies.

There’s probably allot more too but I haven’t finished reading the script.

Am I missing something here? Is there some extra scenes?

It’s bugging me xD
Oh yes , I found another missing part (well thousands really), but this scene seems pretty gorey and I can’t see it =’[

"46 INT. OBSESSION ROOM BROWNING’S DELUSION (BROWNING’S P.O.V.)"
Ahh, possibly.
They’ve changed allot. I read more of it. It’s like a new movie xD

It’s possible you are reading the original script and either the director changed scenes during filming or scenes were cut during editing. I don’t remember Tiffany being in a hall of mirrors in my copy.
